This is a page for my favourite rigs.
All of my rigs utilise the knotless knot to keep things as simple as possible. I like to use leadcore and back leads to keep the line on the bottom of the lake as long as it isnt too weedy. I apologise for the quality of the drawings, i'm not much of an artist but I am sure you get what I mean.

Standard bottom bait rig
This is my bog standard 'use it anywhere' rig. It has a berkley trilene hooklink, anything between 3" and 9", an esp g-4 raptor hook, usually size 6 but I will go to a size 8 if neccessary. It utilises a nash lead clip, swivel and tail rubber. I use nash limpit leadcore in 36" lengths. I also use 4oz leads as they give a better bolt effect and they come off the safety clips more easily.
Pop up rig
This rig uses 12" of kryston snakebite with 3" stripped back., a size 7 esp t-6 raptor as they are a great pattern for pop ups, a korda inline lead and tail rubber with the nash leadcore and swivels. I use a 1.5oz lead with this rig as I feel when playing fish a larger one changes the angle of the line during the fight when it is inline and I find the lighter ones dont.
Confidence rig
This is the rig for if things get tough. It has a 12" 8lb trilene hooklength, a size 8 g-4 raptor and a free running 4oz lead with a nash bead. I use the heavy lead because once the fish has picked up the bait it makes it very hard for it to eject the hook because of the weight.
